COPENHAGEN, Denmark 🇩🇰 - Around the City Center (2023) - 4K
Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, located on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand. Copenhagen is popular with tourists coming to Scandinavia. The city is also known for its cycling culture and extensive bike paths giving it a somewhat similar vibe like Amsterdam. Many tourists visit famous landmarks include the Little Mermaid statue, Tivoli Gardens amusement park, and Nyhavn harbor. The city is home to the University of Copenhagen, founded in 1479.
Our Copenhagen walking tour starts and ends at the Copenhagen City Hall. Within 2 hours we see much of the city center. We walk the Strøget, a famous pedestrian street lined with shops and cafes. Nyhavn is a must see, a historic harbor with colorful buildings and a popular spot for boat tours. We basically walk all around the very center as you can see in the route preview.

Schwerin is absolutely beautiful, magical even, but very underrated as a travel destination, even among Germans. It definitely deserves more attention and tourists.
I also found Schwerin nice to see. One of the reasons why Schwerin gets less tourists is its location. It's rather far away from larger cities and airports in the area. I myself did a train trip to Greifswald and then went from there to Stralsund - Wismar - Schwerin in one day. Then I still had to go via Berlin to continue my trip for several hours on the train again.
@@poptravelorg In the coming weeks UNESCO will make a decision whether Schwerin Castle and several other royal buildings in the city will enter the UNESCO World Heritage site list or not. So, even if it is far out of the way, maybe by entering the list it'll incentivize more visitors to make the long journey? Fingers crossed Schwerin makes it on the list! :)
